Bosch Rexroth has introduced a new addition to its CKR series of compact modules: the CKR-280 heavy-duty axis, designed for dynamic handling of large payloads. The dual belt-driven system features two independently controlled carriages within a single frame, allowing for precise movement of loads up to 385 kg each. This setup supports high drive torques and short cycle times while optimizing space and reducing integration complexity.
The CKR-280 module enables engineers to replace two linear systems with one and is capable of speeds up to 5 m/s and accelerations of 5g. The system also offers online configurability in lengths up to 5.5 meters, with longer options available on request. It is designed for flexibility, allowing implementation as a standalone axis or part of a multi-axis system.
Bosch Rexroth says that the compact unit’s integration into the company’s digital engineering environment will further simplify planning and commissioning. The CKR-280 is positioned to support applications demanding precision, repeatability, and space-efficient design.
