Doppelmayr has completed the construction of Mexico City’s Cablebús Línea 3, a modern urban gondola system designed to enhance public transportation. Spanning 5.5 kilometers and connecting Los Pinos to Vasco de Quiroga through six stations across the Chapultepec Forest, the system is set to serve 1,000 passengers per hour initially, with a projected annual capacity of 12 million.
The Cablebús Línea 3 is part of Mexico City's broader efforts to improve sustainable urban mobility and boost connectivity. The new gondola line provides faster travel times, increased access to public transport systems, and supports tourism by offering improved links to cultural and sports venues as part of the Chapultepec Forest Project.
Konstantinos Panagiotou, Director of Doppelmayr Mexico, emphasized the project’s significance: "The Cablebús Línea 3 is not only a milestone in Mexico City’s transportation infrastructure, but also proof of how ropeways can transform the urban experience: It’s a modern, efficient, and environmentally friendly solution that brings tangible improvements to the quality of life for daily passengers." said Konstantinos Panagiotou, Director of Doppelmayr Mexico.
