Vermeer Introduces Compact, Efficient MX150 Mixing System for HDD Operations

Vermeer has launched the MX150 mixing system, designed for horizontal directional drilling (HDD) operations. Equipped with a 7-hp (5.2-kW) Kohler gas engine, the system offers a maximum flow rate of 150 gpm (568 L/min) and quick yield times, enabling contractors to start drilling faster. Its slim design and customizable configurations make it suited for small to mid-size utility projects, allowing efficient use of space on tight job sites. The system can be paired with tanks ranging from 300 to 500 gallons, giving contractors flexibility based on their specific needs.

The MX150 features a specially designed tank shape to ensure efficient fluid mixing while minimizing solids settling. This, combined with its high-grade seal for longevity, enhances productivity and simplifies maintenance says the company. With additional options such as variable hose outlet placement and winterization features, the MX150 can offer flexibility and ease of use for a variety of drilling environments.

"The Vermeer MX150 mixing system is designed to meet the needs of contractors working in increasingly compact jobsites. With its powerful engine, efficient mixing capabilities, and flexible setup options, the MX150 enables crews to work efficiently without sacrificing valuable space." said Clint Recker, product manager of trenchless products at Vermeer.
