Volvo CE Introduces Updated Straight Boom Excavators

Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) has unveiled its updated straight boom excavators, the EC300 and EC400, as part of its new generation lineup. The 40-ton EC400 Straight Boom replaces the EC380E model, while the 30-ton EC300 Straight Boom enhances the previous EC300E model. Both machines are tailored for demolition applications, combining increased reach, stability, and safety features with improved fuel efficiency and engine power.

The new models incorporate features such as a detachable heavier counterweight, enhanced cab visibility, and operator comfort. Other updates include advancements in safety, such as a robust roll-over protection system and frame-mounted Falling Object Guards. Additionally, the EC400 offers a 14% boost in fuel efficiency and 10% more engine power compared to its predecessor.
