Sika has expanded its operations with the launch of two new plants in Singapore and Xi'an, Northwest China. The Singapore facility, focused on mortar production, is designed to serve the densely populated metropolitan area, while the Xi'an plant produces a wide range of construction products, including tile adhesives, cementitious waterproofing, and flooring solutions. These developments align with Sika’s strategy to reduce logistical distances and enhance responsiveness to local market demands.
The Xi'an facility is the second major plant Sika has opened in China this year, further strengthening its presence in the country with a total of 35 manufacturing sites. The Singapore plant features highly automated processes to support sustainable and efficient production. Both facilities incorporate energy-efficient technologies and environmentally friendly materials, reflecting Sika's commitment to sustainability.
Philippe Jost, Regional Manager Asia/Pacific, said, "Expanding our operations in Singapore and China is an important step in our overall growth strategy in Asia. The new plants will greatly enhance our ability to serve our customers with innovative solutions in these two key markets. In addition, both facilities will contribute to Sika’s sustainability performance, incorporating energy-efficient processes and environmentally friendly materials in their operations." said Philippe Jost, Regional Manager Asia/Pacific.
