Volvo Penta will showcase its battery-electric platform for construction and mining at bauma, with a focus on its battery energy storage (BESS) subsystem. The company says that its portfolio spans combustion engines, purpose-built electric drivelines, and integrated energy storage solutions, providing a flexible approach to the energy transition.
Volvo Penta’s BESS subsystem enables OEMs and system integrators to deploy scalable electric power solutions for mobile and stationary applications. Alongside electrification, the company remains committed to combustion engine innovation, supporting renewable fuels and hydrogen dual-fuel technology for off-highway and power generation sectors.
“Our modular and scalable battery-electric platform is designed to support the electrification ecosystem—combining high-performance drivelines with the crucial energy storage subsystems for efficient charging and operation in construction and mining,” said Hannes Norrgren, President of Volvo Penta Industrial.
