Finlay has introduced the 883+ Electric heavy-duty scalping screen, an electric-powered version of its existing 883+ model. The machine is designed for primary and secondary screening in industries such as quarrying, mining, construction and demolition waste, and iron ore processing. The company says it developed the unit to meet growing demand for lower-emission equipment, with the electrical drive system powering the feeder, screenbox, and conveyors. The machine can be connected to the grid or operated via genset.
Finlay states that the 883+ Electric includes several updates aimed at improving durability and operator flexibility. These include a redesigned feeder with hydraulically folding extensions and a wear-resistant steel hopper. The machine also features an onboard engine to power the tracks, allowing for easy movement between job sites. Key benefits of the electric variant include lower running costs, reduced CO2 emissions, and quieter operation.
“As our flagship model, the 883+ has always set the standard for performance and versatility. The 883+ Electric scalper represents a forward-thinking solution for businesses looking to reduce their environmental impact, while continuing to benefit from the superior performance and flexibility that Finlay equipment is renowned for.” said Matt Dickson, Business Line Director for Finlay.
