Aquajet Adds Compact Hydrodemolition Robots

Aquajet has introduced two new models to its Aqua Cutter 450 series — the 450A and 450V — expanding its offering of compact, electric-powered hydrodemolition robots. Designed for confined and hazardous spaces such as tunnels, vertical shafts, and flooded environments, both machines are equipped with Aquajet’s Evolution 3.0 control system and Infinity oscillation technology, previously seen in larger models. The company says the robots combine powerful performance with reduced size and zero-emissions operation.

The Aqua Cutter 450A features an articulated arm with rotating joints and telescopic extensions, suited to narrow tunnels and overhead work. The 450V incorporates a tower system that enables up to 4 metres of vertical reach, with or without support, for shaft and wall work. Both models offer the ability to detach the Power Control Module and operate the crawler remotely via radio, keeping the power unit in a safe location while the robot navigates difficult terrain. Aquajet highlights that this design improves safety and flexibility in urban and underground environments.

“Our customers asked for a smaller alternative without compromising on efficiency — so we delivered. The 450 series is perfect for projects where size and agility are crucial, but performance remains a top priority.” said Roger Simonsson, Managing Director of Aquajet.
