Worldsensing Boosts AI Cyber Resilience

Worldsensing has participated in the EU-funded PHOENi²X project, aimed at enhancing cyber robustness for critical infrastructure operators through AI-driven detection, incident response, and recovery tools. The three-year initiative included real-world testing in the transport sector, with deployments on a metropolitan railway line near Barcelona to protect operational technology (OT) systems from cyber threats.

In the transport use case, Worldsensing integrated IoT sensors and its CMT cloud platform into a rail slope monitoring network, enabling continuous infrastructure assessment while safeguarding against risks such as data tampering, denial of service, and privilege escalation. The company said that the solution supports prevention, detection, and post-attack recovery through automated workflows and hybrid on-premise/cloud deployment.

“We deployed and validated the solution developed in PHOENi²X using a hybrid approach, both on-premise and in the cloud. This strategy is designed to ensure the cyber robustness of OT solutions supporting critical infrastructure operations,” said Ignasi Garcia-Milà, Innovation Project Manager.
