Japanese manufacturer Tsurumi supplies a wide range of dewatering pumps, serving sectors including construction, civil engineering, flood relief, and water management. Its product range includes approximately 500 models, with capacities up to 30 m³/min and delivery heads reaching 216 metres. To ensure prompt availability, Tsurumi maintains substantial stock levels in Europe, holding a six-month supply in Antwerp and a three-month supply in Düsseldorf, enabling rapid delivery when needed.
The company’s design philosophy prioritises durability and ease of maintenance, influenced by its origins in the Japanese pump rental market. Features such as position-independent forced lubrication and synthetic resin-encased conductors aim to reduce wear and prevent water ingress. The modular construction allows users to perform many maintenance tasks onsite, helping minimise operational downtime in demanding conditions.
“As delivery times from our central factory in Japan are long, we need to have sufficient stock. We therefore keep a six-month supply for Europe in our Antwerp warehouse and a three-month supply for Germany, Austria and Switzerland in Düsseldorf. We keep spare parts in stock according to necessity, not turnover frequency – in other words, we keep the full range in stock.” said Daniel Weippert, Managing Director of Tsurumi Europe GmbH.
