JLT Mobile Computers Strengthens Industrial Safety

JLT Mobile Computers and MākuSafe have announced a strategic partnership in the United States to provide an integrated solution aimed at improving worker safety and operational performance in industrial settings. The collaboration combines JLT’s rugged mobile computers, typically installed on powered industrial vehicles, with MākuSafe’s connected-worker wearable technology and its Scout™ forklift safety application. Together, the technologies offer real-time visibility of pedestrians around forklifts, addressing a well-recognised risk in warehouses, distribution centres, and manufacturing environments. According to early users, the combined approach has contributed to fewer forklift-pedestrian interactions and productivity gains linked to improved situational awareness.

The agreement formalises cooperation already established through shared customers and includes joint business development, co-branded marketing, and planned co-exhibition at industry events as both companies look to extend their presence in the industrial safety and digital transformation space. The integration is positioned as a way for organisations to connect workers, equipment, and data more effectively within operational workflows.

“We are excited to formalise our partnership with MākuSafe. Combining our rugged mobile computing solutions with their innovative wearable technology creates a powerful solution for customers looking to reduce risk, streamline operations, and accelerate their digital transformation initiatives.” said Eric Miller, CEO at JLT Mobile Computers USA.
