Hitachi Construction Machinery Indonesia Ships 50,000 Units

Hitachi Construction Machinery Indonesia was established in 1991 and began producing medium-size hydraulic excavators at its first factory in 1993. In the first year, the number of units shipped was 222 units, but as demand in the Southeast Asian market grew, production steadily increased, and cumulative shipments have now reached 50,000 units as of December 2023.

In Southeast Asia, Hitachi Construction Machinery’s hydraulic excavators are highly rated for their durability and quality in sites that require heavy duty equipment for urban civil engineering, agriculture, forestry, and mining, says the company. Demand for high-quality products and services has increased in recent years, Hitachi Construction Machinery will launch the ZAXIS-7G series of medium and large size hydraulic excavators as a new model from February 2024.

As one of the bases responsible for global product supply, Hitachi Construction Machinery Indonesia will continue to develop and produce products that meet customer needs, mainly in Southeast Asia and continuous expanding to other destination countries such as Middle East, Africa and Europe.
