AtkinsRéalis to Oversee Network Rail Property Digital Systems

AtkinsRéalis has been appointed by Network Rail UK to manage and upgrade the digital systems supporting its property portfolio. Over the next three years, the company will oversee lease management, data analysis, and digital asset management across 19 major stations, 39,000 properties, and 9,000 tenants.

The programme includes a Property Digital Hub for portfolio management and upgraded footfall and heatmapping systems to analyse station usage. AtkinsRéalis will also manage IT system procurement to support operations. The company says its experience in asset management and infrastructure will bring scalable digital solutions to Network Rail Property.

“Network Rail is always seeking ways to maximise the value of its property portfolio to deliver positive experiences to both retailers and passengers, and robust digital systems and informative data are essential to this goal. Our appointment builds on our longstanding relationship with Network Rail and recognises our unique ability to integrate engineering, asset management, and digital delivery in passenger environments with safety considerations.” said Colette Carroll, AtkinsRéalis Managing Director for Transportation in the UK.
