Septentrio, part of Hexagon, has introduced two new high-precision receivers designed for demanding industrial environments. The AsteRx RB3 and AsteRx RBi3 are IP69K-rated GNSS and GNSS/INS receivers intended for use in sectors such as mining, construction, and port automation, where reliable positioning under extreme conditions is essential.
The company says both receivers are built to withstand heavy shocks, vibration, and exposure to harsh elements, while delivering centimetre-level accuracy. The RBi3 model integrates inertial sensors and supports dual-antenna configurations, enabling precise orientation data from the start of operation.
“RB3 and RBi3 set a new benchmark for rugged GNSS receivers, delivering unmatched durability and precision in the toughest environments. Designed to withstand extreme conditions, they ensure reliable positioning and orientation when it matters most.” said Silviu Taujan, product manager at Septentrio.
