Septentrio, part of Hexagon, has added new modules to its mosaic family of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receivers. The mosaic-G5 models are designed for high-volume applications such as commercial drones and autonomous devices, where both size and power consumption are limited. The receivers offer reliable, high-accuracy positioning, with enhanced performance in environments where GNSS signals may be obstructed.
The mosaic-G5 product line includes triple- and quad-band models and introduces heading capabilities with minimal antenna separation. Septentrio says the modules are compatible with open-source autopilots and are supported by tools designed to simplify evaluation and integration. The new additions complement the existing mosaic-X5 receiver, which the company describes as a benchmark for anti-jamming and anti-spoofing performance.
“We are excited to further extend and strengthen our highly successful mosaic module family. The new receivers answer the growing demand for precise and reliable positioning and GNSS heading in high-volume drone and robotic applications,” said François Freulon, Director of Product Management at Septentrio.
