Putzmeister Boosts Efficiency with IoT Upgrade

Putzmeister, a global manufacturer of machines for concrete transport and placement, has implemented an IoT-based real-time tracking solution to improve its special vehicle assembly logistics. Using SmartMakers’ thingsHub platform, the company reports significant gains in production transparency and process reliability, while cutting down search times for truck chassis by more than 1,000 hours annually.

The system allows Putzmeister to monitor the exact location and availability of carrier vehicles across its site via digital mapping and automatic data transmission. This, according to the company, reduces idle time, supports more stable workflows, and improves internal coordination. SmartMakers' solution requires minimal infrastructure and can be scaled or adapted for additional tracking applications, including tools and load carriers.
