IDS GeoRadar has unveiled Opera XR, a dual-antenna ground-penetrating radar (GPR) system designed for efficient utility detection. Incorporating the company’s patented Equalised scrambled Technology (EsT), Opera XR is intended to enhance depth penetration and clarity in subsurface imaging while enabling faster on-site marking and reporting. The system is lightweight at 20kg, features a folding mechanism for easy transport, and is compatible with Quick Scan Mode software for streamlined field operations.
The Opera XR can operate with both horizontal-horizontal and vertical-vertical antenna configurations, providing flexibility for varied underground surveys. Its design aims to allow a single operator to conduct detailed subsurface exploration quickly and with minimal disruption. By combining portability with integrated digital tools, IDS GeoRadar positions the system as a solution for accelerating workflows and reducing project timelines.
“Opera XR revolutionizes every-day field operations with EsT technology, a radical design for premium on-field user experience and cutting-edge software. Opera XR streamlines workflows and accelerates job closure, keeping surveying projects on track and under budget.” said Gianluca Paesanti, GPR Product Manager at IDS GeoRadar.
