Atlas Copco to Acquire Centroar

Atlas Copco Group plans to acquire Centro do Ar Comprimido do Recife Ltda (Centroar), a compressor and power equipment distributor based in Recife, Pernambuco Brazil. The business supplies sales and service support to customers operating across sectors such as general industry, mining, paper, construction and infrastructure. By bringing the company into the Group, Atlas Copco anticipates broadening its coverage in a region considered strategically important for its Compressor Technique operations.

The acquisition will see Centroar’s 28 employees join the Group as part of the service division within the Compressor Technique Business Area. According to Atlas Copco, this integration is intended to reinforce the Group’s presence in Brazil’s Northeast and provide closer engagement with end users. Completion of the transaction is expected during the first quarter of 2026.
