Epiroc is providing digital solutions to support construction at Rogfast, the world’s longest and deepest subsea road tunnel. The company’s Tunneling Intelligence software is being used by Implenia Norge AS to enhance real-time reporting, shift coordination, and project visualization. With a planned length of 26.7 km and a depth of 392 m, Rogfast is a key part of Norway’s Coastal Highway Route project, aiming to eliminate ferry crossings along the E39 motorway.
The software offers a 3D overview of tunneling activities, allowing teams to adjust plans and monitor progress efficiently. Implenia Norge AS, part of the joint venture managing two of Rogfast’s three main tunnel sections, is using Epiroc’s technology to support project visibility and safety. The E02 tunnel section, spanning 8.8 km, includes complex underground structures such as ventilation shafts and roundabouts, requiring precise coordination.
"We’re eager to see the significant improvements that digitalization, real-time reporting, and enhanced site visibility will bring to Implenia Norge AS and the Rogfast tunneling projects," said Håkan Bolsöy, Business Development Manager at Epiroc.
