Sandvik Names New Head of Human Resources

Sandvik has announced the appointment of Björn Axelsson as Executive Vice President and Head of Human Resources, effective February 1, 2025. Axelsson, currently Vice President of Human Resources and EHS at Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions, will also join the Sandvik Group Executive Management team.

Axelsson brings approximately two decades of experience in human resources, including leadership roles focused on strategy, employee experience, and organizational transformation. Since joining Sandvik in 2019, he has led global HR and EHS initiatives for Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions, driving advancements in employee engagement and safety.
