Hamm Launches Track Assist and WPT Compacting

Hamm has introduced two new digital tools aimed at improving compaction efficiency and jobsite transparency: the Track Assist app and WPT Compacting within the John Deere Operations Center™. Track Assist, a free Android application, supports roller drivers by displaying real-time data such as double pass counts, temperature thresholds, and compaction levels. The app is designed to improve consistency in compaction while helping reduce unnecessary passes, fuel use, and emissions.

For project managers and foremen, WPT Compacting offers a web-based solution for documenting and analysing compaction work. It centralises machine and site data, offers real-time visibility into equipment status, and supports integration with other Wirtgen Group machines. The system also includes data export features suitable for regulatory requirements in certain markets and will eventually enable machine-to-machine communication for greater operational coordination.

According to Hamm, these tools are intended to streamline daily workflows both inside the roller and across the jobsite. By making critical compaction and performance data more accessible, the company aims to support informed decision-making and long-term resource efficiency.
