Liebherr has upgraded its K series of bottom-slewing fast-erecting cranes, introducing new control systems and intelligent assistance functions. The latest models—the 43 K, 61 K, and 91 K—along with the updated 125 K, incorporate features such as sway-free load lifting and semi-automated operations. These improvements aim to enhance safety, ease of use, and adaptability to site conditions.
The cranes now come with the Liebherr Control 5 system and the Tower Crane Operating System 2 (TC OS 2), which standardize controls across the K and L series. Existing features like variable hook heights and manoeuvrability in confined spaces remain, alongside established functions such as Speed2Lift, Load-Plus, and Micromove for increased lifting speeds, improved capacity, and precise load handling. The model names now reflect their lifting capacities under Load-Plus conditions.
Liebherr says that the 43 K is designed for flexible site requirements, the 61 K offers a new luffed position for added versatility, and the 91 K serves multi-occupancy and industrial projects. The 125 K, the largest in the series, combines high performance with mobility.
