Liebherr has expanded its luffing jib crane range with the launch of the 620 HC-L, designed for space-constrained construction sites and large-scale projects. The crane offers a maximum lifting capacity of 18 tonnes in one-fall operation and 36 tonnes in two-fall operation, with a 65-metre jib. Its Load-Plus function can increase lifting capacity by up to 76% for specific load charts. Compatible with the 24 HC 630 tower system, it allows for a freestanding height of up to 74.3 metres while utilising existing components to reduce costs and improve site planning flexibility.
A compact design and optimised assembly process contribute to the crane’s efficiency. The 620 HC-L has an out-of-service position of 12 metres and an operating position of 4.1 metres, facilitating operation in restricted spaces. Pre-installed hoist and luffing ropes, along with a plug-and-play system, reduce setup time, while transport requires only ten units at full radius. Liebherr’s EMS-4 control system and TC-OS platform provide operators with enhanced control features, including Load-Plus, Micromove, and electric weathervaning.
