Hollaus, an Austrian construction company, is undertaking a high-altitude reservoir project in the Zillertal Alps, using Liebherr’s PR 766 G8 Crawler Dozer for the challenging terrain work over 2,000 meters above sea level. The project aims to secure the future of winter tourism in the area by providing essential water storage for snow production and the PR 766 G8’s hydrostatic drive and robust construction are being utilized for material moving and ripping operations in the rocky conditions.
Hollaus states that Liebherr’s PR 724 Crawler Dozer, equipped with Trimble control technology, is also integral to the project, performing precise fine levelling and underfill distribution tasks. The company say that this dozer’s advanced automation systems support precise grading, enabling efficient handling of the terrain’s complex requirements while maintaining productivity and accuracy across various site operations.
Hollaus explain that maintenance and reliability are essential for continuous operation under challenging conditions and that support from the Liebherr Service Team has minimized downtime, helping maintain efficiency across project operations.
