Liebherr Marks Milestone with 10,000th XPower Wheel Loader

Liebherr-Werk Bischofshofen GmbH has reached a significant milestone with the production of its 10,000th XPower wheel loader. All XPower models feature a power-split travel drive developed in partnership with ZF Friedrichshafen AG, which combines hydrostatic and mechanical drives for fuel-efficient performance in a range of applications. The anniversary machine, an L 580 XPower, has been delivered to the BERGER Group in Passau.

Liebherr says the XPower series, which includes models from the L 550 to L 586, is designed for durability, low fuel consumption, and reliable operation. The power-split ZF transmission adjusts continuously to deliver maximum efficiency across varied site conditions. The drivetrain has clocked more than 64 million operating hours since its introduction.

Liebherr highlights the collaboration with ZF as a key element in the success of the XPower lineup. The two companies have worked together to tailor the transmission to meet the demands of the wheel loader series, contributing to the performance and robustness that the manufacturer attributes to the machines.
