Hitachi - Blood Donation Drive

In collaboration with the Singapore Red Cross Society, Hitachi Construction Machinery Asia and Pacific held its first CSR volunteer activity of 2023 at Singapore Blood bank Westgate Tower. Six volunteers participated in blood donation drive at Singapore Blood bank Westgate Tower.

Volunteers must be in general good health and maintain a healthy haemoglobin level of at least 12.5g/dl for females and 13.0g/dl for males to donate blood.

Some of volunteers experienced blood donation for the first time, “To be honest I feel scared at first as a first timer. But after the blood donation process ended, I feel so happy that I get to contribute something to society.” one commented.

The other volunteer was an expat who had been actively involved in blood donations in her home country. She was able to experience the different process in Singapore and was also mostly happy to be able to contribute to society.
