According to Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV, the Oosterhout warehouse has been upgraded in response to growing demand for spare parts. Inventory has increased from 68,800 parts in 2015 to about 80,000 in 2024, with expectations for further growth. The modernized facility is designed to be future proof to meet rising needs.
The two-year remodeling of the warehouse has increased storage capacity with dedicated bins and racks for specific parts, which has enhanced picking accuracy and created additional space for securely storing larger, more expensive parts.
“During the modernisation process, we maintained a high level of service to both dealers and customers, ensuring the consistent and reliable parts supply they would expect from HCME. And now we have a state-of-the-art fulfilment centre, that will continue to meet their needs in the years to come.” said Hans Lam, Manager Parts Logistics at HCME.
