Hitachi Construction Machinery (HCM) will present its most extensive electric excavator range yet at bauma 2025. Nine zero-emission models will be on display, developed in partnership with Kiesel Technology GmbH (KTEG). The line-up includes four models from HCM and six from KTEG.
New developments include the international debut of the ZX17U-EB, featuring a swappable battery and charger developed with Dimaag AI. Other models on display include the ZX55U-6EB, ZX135-7EB, and an autonomous 14-tonne electric excavator. KTEG’s contributions include the ZE150W electric wheeled excavator, the ZE300 hydrogen-powered excavator, and the ZE85 with an upgraded battery pack.
"Our zero-emission solutions at bauma are in line with the HCM vision to contribute towards creating a safe and sustainable society. In addition, we recognise the challenges in the industry to comply with requirements for zero-emission job sites, and we embrace these as an opportunity to collaborate and develop innovative solutions for our customers." said HCME President Francesco Quaranta.
